Distinguish by combustion:
Polyester: Easy to ignite, close to the flame that is melting, burning with black smoke, yellow flame, emitting an aromatic odor, burned ashes to dark brown lumps, broken easily with your fingers.
Nylon: No flame when burning,near the flame that quickly crimped into a white gelatinous, difficult to continue to burn leaving the flame, emitting a celery flavor, light brown melt after cooled, not easily to broken by fingers.
Distinguish by microscope:
Nylon transparency is much higher than polyester when seeing by microscope.
