The silk screen printing mesh does not move, the texture is firm, but the yarn is thick, the color paste is not easy to pass, and the mesh surface is easy to block, so it is generally not used for screen printing. The advantage of synthetic fiber screen is that the effective opening area is large, the mesh for screen printing is smooth, the color paste is easy to pass, and the graphic outline is clear, so it is more in flat screen printing. The disadvantage of this fabric is that its strength is lower than other fabrics.
Different from ordinary tissues, the warp and weft of ordinary tissues are all monofilaments, while the warp and weft of square tissues are all bifilaments. Therefore, the strength of this organization is higher than that of ordinary organizations, but the effective opening rate is low.
The type of mesh for screen printing is expressed by the mesh number and the diameter of the mesh. The diameter of the mesh is relatively thick, the mesh strength is strong, and it is durable. A reasonable mesh size allows the printed mesh to provide a reasonable amount of paste and be placed on the surface of the fabric.
In practical applications, the name of the grid is not uniform. For example, the grid screen mentioned in some technical data is 800 mesh, 135 mesh, etc. The mesh size in the product specifications is only 25 ~ 495 mesh. These appellation differences are not only made by the metric system and the English system, but also by the mesh on the unit area.
The number of holes depends on the number of holes per unit length. The number of line holes per unit length is actually the vertical density of the screen, which can display the density of the grid. In practical applications, it is difficult to determine which type of grid number to use. However, no matter which one is used, the higher the number of meshes, the denser the meshes, and the smaller the meshes, the worse the permeability of the printing paste. Conversely, the lower the number of meshes, the more sparse the meshes, and the larger the meshes, the better the permeability.
The diameter of the screen directly affects the strength of the printed screen and the size of the mesh for screen printing. As the mesh diameter increases, the screen strength increases, but the effective screen area decreases and the slurry volume decreases.
In the case of the same diameter, the number of grids can be selected according to the following principles:
The outline should be smooth and clean, with a finer mesh. Instead, the ground color and block mode should be selected for the coarse screen (low mesh) screen.
In order to improve the rheology of the printing paste, a fine mesh screen should be used. On the contrary, a coarse mesh for screen printing should be used.
