Edge defects of mesh for screen printing

In mesh for screen printing, a common problem is jagged burrs (including defects or broken lines) on the edges of the printed ink film.

There are many reasons for the question, but the main reason is the body quality of the screen printing version.

① The sensitivity of the photoresist is not high, resulting in broken lines or incompleteness in the fine lines.

② The exposure time is insufficient or the exposure time is too long, and the development is insufficient, and the edges of the screen printing graphic are not uniform and jagged. For a good mesh for screen printing plate, the edges of should be smooth and neat.

③The mesh for screen printing surface is uneven. When printing, there is still a barrier between the mesh for screen printing and the substrate. Due to the ink penetrating and penetrating, burrs appear on the edges of the printing ink.

④During the printing process, due to the expansion of the plate film after contact with the solvent, and the degree of expansion in the warp and weft directions is different, the surface of the plate film appears uneven.

To prevent the appearance of jagged burrs, the following solutions can be considered

① Use high mesh for screen printing;

② Use high-sensitivity photosensitive materials for plate making;

③ Make mesh for screen printing plate with a certain thickness to reduce expansion deformation;

④ The distance between the screen and the substrate, the angle of the scraper, and the printing pressure should be appropriate. It is best to use an oblique stretch method to stretch the screen. The optimal angle is 22.5 °

⑤ In the process of plate making and printing, try to control the temperature expansion factor and use a photosensitive material with a small expansion coefficient.

⑥ Improve the quality of plate, ensure the surface of the mesh for screen printing plate is smooth, and the edges of the plate are neat.

⑦ Use water spray gun to wash the mesh for screen printing plate.
