How do you prepare a screen for screen printing by stretching polyester bolting cloth

Stretching polyester bolting cloth is an important step in preparing a screen for screen printing. To stretch the cloth, follow these steps:

Select a mesh frame that matches the desired printing size, and clean both the frame and the mesh. If it is the first time using the frame, gently rub it with fine sandpaper to make the surface rough. This will help improve the adhesion between the frame and the cloth. If the frame has been used before, rub it with sandpaper to remove any residual glue or other substances.

Pre-coat a sticky adhesive on the surface of the frame that will come into contact with the cloth, and allow it to dry. This will help bind the cloth to the frame during stretching.

Use either manual or mechanical stretching to tightly stretch the cloth over the frame, ensuring that the cloth is in contact with the frame. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the cloth where it meets the frame, and allow to dry. Be sure not to use too much or too little adhesive.

Once the adhesive is dry, loosen the external tension and trim away any excess cloth around the outer edge of the frame. Use a single-sided self-adhesive tape to attach the remaining cloth to the frame where it is bonded. This will help the cloth and frame stay together during printing and avoid any dissolution of the adhesive during printing.

Rinse the screen with water or a cleaning agent to remove any residual adhesive. Allow the screen to dry completely before continuing with photoresist coating.
