Polyester screen printing is one of the screen printing meshs. What is the composition of the ink required for printing? What should we pay attention to when we machine or hand-print? Let's take a closer look at the composition of the ink.
The ink of the silk screen printing mesh is composed of several parts including color materials, binders, fillers and additives. China's genuine maishi manufacturers give us the following detailed introduction.
1. About colorants. Contains two parts of pigments and dyes. The pigments are used a little more. Pigments are the main component of the ink. The colorant determines the hue, tinting strength, chromaticity, acid resistance, alkali resistance, light resistance, water resistance and the like of the ink as well as the fineness, dryness, hiding power, density and the like of the ink. The pigment is in the form of particles in the medium, while the dye is in a molecular state in the medium. The pigment adheres to the surface of the object by means of a gel, and the dye can color the interior of the object. The main colorants are water-soluble dyes, alcohol-soluble dyes, inorganic pigments and organic pigments. The organic pigments mainly include azo pigments, phthalocyanine pigments, and lake pigments. Inorganic pigments are classified into natural pigments (meteorite, chalk, lead, etc.) and artificial pigments (carbon black, ultramarine blue, mineral stone, etc.).
2. About the connecting material. The main function is to make the coloring material and the filling material adhere to the substrate well, and to make the ink film surface of the printed matter have a certain luster. The viscosity, color bleeding, tensile strength, water resistance and dryness of the binder are important factors in determining the performance of the ink. The ink binder generally has an oil type binder, a
resin type binder, a solvent, and the like. Oil-type binders are mostly based on vegetable oil and can be used after processing.
3. About the filler. Generally it is a white or colorless transparent powdery substance such as calcium carbonate, aluminum ruthenium and the like. Its role is to dilute the pigment that is too saturated and too opaque, reduce the amount of pigment and reduce the cost of ink.
4. About additives. It is a substance added to the ink to change or improve the printability of the ink. Commonly used screen printing ink additives include drier, anti-drying agent, plasticizer, antifoaming agent, stabilizer, viscosity reducing agent, anti-precipitation agent, thinner, antistatic agent, anti-friction agent and anti-chemical agent. We need to pay attention to the ink when printing on the screen. The above is the introduction of ink. Only by knowing more in detail, can we operate better. Maishi also warmly reminds everyone: we must pay attention to the use of a good silk screen printing mesh. This is very crucial. Choosing a regular maishi manufacturer is more assured.
