Calculation of the finest line Width of the printing ink in screen printing process
In general, the printing line width between 0.1mm to 0.2mm will be called "fine line".
The formula for calculating the finest line width:
K(μm) = 2S(μm) + R(μm)
“K” is the finest width of the finest printing ink line
“S” is thread diameter
“R” is mesh opening
For example 80T-48(200mesh/inch) polyester screen printing mesh.
“S”: thread diameter = 48 μm
“R”: mesh opening = 72 μm (Note:for the calculation of mesh opering, please refer to first page)
“K”: the finest width of the finest printing ink line
K= 2S + R =168μm
